Fire Protection Systems
Protect Your Facility From Fire With Cannistraro
Though easy to overlook, a fire protection platform is a critical component of any structure, including multifamily residences, office buildings, hospitals, and utility facilities. The experts at Cannistraro specialize in designing, fabricating, installing, and maintaining all types of commercial fire protection systems. We work with you to identify facility-specific threats and then deploy a fire protection solution that directly mitigates those threats to protect your facility at every level.
My interaction with the Cannistraro Fire Protection Group has been outstanding. You were proactive during coordination. Mike and his team always came with their game face on throughout this project. They were cooperative when things didn’t work out as planned or issues arose that required a quick response.

Cannistraro also specializes in engineering, installing, and servicing special hazards fire protection systems that provide your facility with additional layers of protection beyond conventional smoke alarms and sprinkler systems. If you have a mission-critical system that requires extra protection in the event of a fire, Cannistraro can develop a special hazard solution to keep you protected.
When you partner with Cannistraro, you can start expecting the unexpected to keep your company protected.
The experts at Cannistraro have the skills and experience to work on any fire sprinkler system, including:
Pre-action sprinkler systems protect your facility from the cost of accidental property and water damage in the event of a false alarm. The pipes of a pre-action system do not hold water until after the system has been triggered. After your facility’s fire detection system detects a potential fire, a pre-action valve releases to fill the pipes. With the pipes loaded, individual sprinkler heads can then release water where it’s needed.
A deluge fire protection system uses unpressurized dry pipes with open sprinkler heads. The system is directly connected to a water supply, and when a fire is detected, a deluge valve opens to release water from all open sprinkler heads.
Fire System Maintenance
Cannistraro can also simplify maintenance and repairs for your fire protection systems.
Wet sprinkler systems are the most common today because they are cost effective and low maintenance. With a wet system, the pipes remain filled with water all the time, so sprinklers are continuously ready to discharge water as soon as their heat-sensitive sensor is triggered. While wet systems offer the quickest reaction time, they also increase the risk of an accidental discharge.
Foam sprinkler systems work by mixing water with a foam concentrate that’s more effective at suppressing fires than water alone. These systems can be helpful in environments where there’s an increased risk of gas or alcohol fires, or where you want fires to be extinguished as quickly as possible.
